A plastic liner ships separately for direct planting and the slatted bottom ensures proper drainage if water does get it. The plastic footpads on the bottom prevent moisture absorption too. Each piece is smoothly sanded and painted with a UV-rated exterior paint.

My beautiful new white Chippendale planter box graces the outside of my home, under a new pergola. I have a Clematis planted in it, climbing up, via a bit of invisible fishing line, around one of the pergola's columns. It really looks pretty. The construction is solid and the planter is lovely. The only thing I had to do was to make sure I laid some gravel on the bottom, as the planter has no drainage holes.
Overall, I am delighted with my new planter box because of its aesthetic beauty as well as its fine construction.

I purchased two of these planters for a rear terrace. They were faily easy to assemble but I could not get the one planter to square off once the bolts were in place. Also the paint job was very poor. The paint finish was not consistent and you could see stroke marks everywhere. They were also advertised as "white" but the color is really a cream or off white color. I will be repainting them!

this product arrived promptly, was reasonably easy to assemble, has a good paint job, and looks good at my front entrance. I did feel disappointed with the thiness of the liner.

The planters are very nice and seem to be sturdy. You do have to put them together and that takes some time. Only problem was that one side of one of the parts did not have wholes drilled in it for the screws and I had to use a drill to make the holes. But was able to do it and all fits. I especially like the liners that come with the boxes.
